Virginia Vein Care is Proud to Announce its Annual Scholarship Program

Though our veins are out of sight, they’re rarely out of mind. Here at Virginia Vein Care, we specialize in changing the way our patients’ legs look and feel. We’re proud to provide comprehensive vein treatment to residents of Virginia and DC, and we’re searching for the next generation of vein specialists.

Though many students have the skills and knowledge to get into the field, we understand that it can be expensive to get through medical school. We believe that everyone should have access to institutions of higher learning, and to help aspiring students reach their goals, we’ve established a yearly scholarship program. Here, you’ll find all the program’s details.

Eligibility Requirements

To win this $500 yearly scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria.

  • They must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited US college or university
  • If enrolled, they must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater

To be deemed eligible, applicants should provide documentation that they meet the above requirements. All applicants will also be asked to submit an essay via the process outlined below.

Your Application Essay

Application essays should be 1000 words or more and they should address the topic “How can venous disease affect other areas of your health?” All essays must be submitted on or before July 7, 2021. Submissions will be judged based on their creativity and quality, and a winner will be chosen on July 21, 2021. Be sure to save your essay in Microsoft Word format, as we cannot accept Google Docs or Dropbox links.

The Submission Process

Applicants should send their essays and documentation to vvc@virginiaveincare.com on or before the deadline mentioned above. Remember to include your contact information, as we’ll be notifying the winner by phone and by email. If your essay is selected, we’ll contact you to arrange for the delivery of the scholarship funds by certified mail.

We encourage students to apply for this yearly scholarship, and we will read each entry we receive. Good luck, and we hope to receive your essay soon!
